We’re pleased to announce a new poetry competition for the months of August and September, 2008. There are no requirements for the poetry itself in regard to theme, style, or length. Here are the stipulations:
- One poem per person
- Submissions are due by midnight September 30th, 2008
Easy, right? The top 3 poems will be chosen for publication on the site, and their respective authors will be noted in the
Forums as published authors to CacoethesScribendi.com. This one is more for prestige and bragging rights than anything else.
Best of luck to all of our competitors in this contest. We do hope to see some fierce creativity as a result.

Having received multiple submissions over the last month, the Short Fiction feature for July of 2008 has been chosen. It is called The Hunter and the Peregrine Falcon and is written by Forrest Gray Yerman. Go over and check it out.
Congrats Forrest!
And don’t forget to register for the site to comment on stories, and for the forums to post your work and interact with the community.
Thanks everyone.

First and foremost, please allow me on behalf of CacoethesScribendi.com to formally welcome you to our corner of the internet. Our community has been in the works for the better of 8 months now, and it’s looking like things are going to be moving at light-speed here in the next couple of weeks. Here’s what you can expect to see around the website by month’s end:
- Creative work by new authors
- A community forum (which is up now)
- New variable site content
As CacoethesScribendi.com is now nearing its final form of metamorphosis, I’d like to encourage you, if you haven’t already, to Register a User Name for the Site, and to, if you’re interested in having your work featured, send an email to Submissions@CacoethesScribendi.com with your work attached.
After that, head over to the forums and Register There too. Hell, while you’re at it, go register to vote.

So, feel free to browse around, and make sure you check back often as there will be new content going up every day.
Cheers,
Riley
